Little Lies Pop-up Shop

On the Degree Show opening night at DJCAD, I had the pleasure of stumbling upon a little pop-up shop in Exchange Street. Little Lies is an online boutique selling homeware, women’s vintage and bohemian clothing and accessories. Based in Perth and trading online, they decided to open a temporary concept store in Downtown Dundee in a gorgeous empty unit previously belonging to clothing brand Abandon Ship.
Little Lies will only be trading on 17 Exchange Street until 10th June, so make sure to get down there and shop some of the items that are available in the pop-up shop as not all of them are available online. They’re also having a party in store this coming Thursday 24th May, so come along for some prosecco and good music!
The concept store is a bright and fun bohemian space which truly encapsulates the brand’s individuality, retro vibes and its inspiration from classic rock n roll music.
Whether you’re looking for a new bag, a pair of sunglasses or some unique accessories, the shop is a lovely space and Jade is always happy to help. I’ve been trawling the internet for the perfect Rolling Stones t-shirt for their upcoming concert in June and I couldn’t find anything I liked that was within my price range. Within minutes of stepping into Little Lies, I spied one I absolutely fell in love with and couldn’t find anywhere else online, so these girls know their stock! Their band tees are also unisex for any of you guys out there, they’re true to size and a comfortable, loose fit. You can shop this tee here.
I’ve also been on the hunt for a new little handbag I could wear in the evenings, to concerts and out and about on the weekends. I came across this gorgeous tan one in the concept shop after eyeing it up online and it has the most amazing soft suede finish. For only £20 it’s a total steal as it looks and feels high-end. Plus, I’m in love with the laser cut detailing and the fringed tassel. Shop the bag here.
All the items in store and online are carefully chosen and hand-picked and this is definitely reflected in the shop space. It’s a beautifully curated collection of unique accessories and vintage items that you’ll struggle to find anywhere else.
Having pop-ups like this in the city is great, and you’re absolutely spoilt for choice for things to do during Dundee Design Month. You could easily while away an afternoon browsing the DJCAD Degree Show, checking out The Factory Shop, then coming down to the Little Lies pop-up via the Open/Close City Centre Trail!
Exchange Street is definitely proving to be a fashion hub of Downtown Dundee, with the brands Dreamland Clothing, Isolated Heroes and Lovenstone also having a three-day fashion pop-up in the same space at the beginning of May. Not to mention the guys in Hard Grind and Daily Grind across the road who have a barbers/coffee shop/clothing store stocking apparel from Abandon Ship.
Little Lies have grown a cult social media following with over 14K followers on and Instagram and 68K likes on Facebook. Make sure to check out their dreamy feed for some gorgeous pics that are easy on the eyes.
